Venue Costs

We want to give you as much flexibility as possible to create your perfect day, but to reduce the headache on your behalf we can offer a set package and leave the finer details up to you.

We don't want to create a venue that is one big wedding machine, we have limited spaces every year for small amounts of weddings and events. We believe that with our truly unique setting and the fact that we will allow you to create your very own celebration without loads of restrictive rules it will be the best wedding that your guests have ever been to.

We are delighted to have several years of knowledge and experience and are more than happy to help with all aspects of preparation for your big day!

The woodland venue is available to hire exclusively throughout the year.

Prices start at £1500.

Please note this doesn’t include the hire of the tipis, furniture, fittings, toilets and generator. Contact us for a bespoke quote.

What’s included as part of the venue hire:

Exclusive use of the venue for 48hrs (typically Friday-Sunday)

Acres of land to do with as you wish

Outdoor decorative lighting around the woodland, camping and reception area (tree up-lighters, festoon and fairy lighting)

Fire pit to toast marshmallows to your hearts content

BBQ and gas in camping area

A camping field where campervans can park alongside tents

Onsite parking for up to 100 cars

Outdoor seating area complete with a spectacular view

Stunning views from the whole of the site

We can also provide the below items at additional costs:

Power supply (silent generators are hired in, to suit power requirements)

Luxury toilet unit (to cater for up to 250 guests)

Shower unit (should you and your guests wish to camp for the weekend)

x3 or more Giant Tipis (with a maximum seating capacity of approx 250 guests*)

Tipi hire include the following:

Tables, benches or chairs

Flooring

Lighting, both uplighters and fairy lights

Dance floor & Disco ball

Bar unit

* If you are having fewer guests this is not a problem we can reduce the amount of furniture and you can use the additional space as a ‘chill-out’ area within the tipis. Contact us for some more information.

Rules

General

Chew Valley Weddings Ltd is not presently licensed for civil ceremonies or partnerships, however the lookout and other areas around the venue make for a perfect setting for other types of blessing and ceremonies.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking as confirmation and to reserve your chosen date. The remaining balance paid in full about a month before your booked date.

Removal of your wedding bits and bobs includes all decorations (including those hanging in trees). Please don’t forget those discarded cigarette butts! We provide a large general waste and glass bin and all rubbish must be disposed of appropriately.  We realize that decorations are vital to create your personal touch but please respect the natural surroundings so no damage is caused to the equipment or venue.

Leaving no trace on the farm is important to us so we we ask that the whole site is tidied and left as it was found. Alternatively you can leave the clean up to us for an additional charge of £500.

Please only use natural petal or biodegradable confetti. We encourage you to go mad with decorations but please respect the natural surroundings so as to not cause any damage to the property.

Music

We do allow live music, bands and DJ’s. However, after 22.00 all amplified music must be played at a sensible level though our own PA  sound system which is for hire.  It is important that all music arrangements are discussed with us before any commitment is made. Amplified music needs to be reduced by 11.30 and finished by midnight. Guests staying on site should then make their way to the camping area with other guests quietly vacating the premises. Please keep all noise to a respectable level as noise can quite easily travel to our local neighbours.

Safety

No naked flames or smoking is allowed in the Tipi’s or the Bell tents.

Please keep a close eye on all young guests. Whilst we would like you to have lots of fun please remember that you are responsible for your guest’s safety and behavior. If alcohol is to be served please ensure that no minors drink.

Accommodation

Glamping accommodation can be provided and luxury bell tents supplied and pre-booked through Tinkerbell tents. There is also plenty of space for guests to bring their own tents, caravans/campervans. We do not charge a pitch fee for any tents or camper vans.

If camping, all guests must depart by 17:00pm the day after your celebration. If you have chosen to clean the site yourselves then all rubbish/empty bottles must be appropriately disposed of in the bins provided.

Amenities

There is cold running water in certain locations on site, however there is very low water pressure.  Our luxury mobile toilet unit is predominantly for use on the day of the main event. If some of your guests intend to use the site the night before then we would advise to hire in a portaloo in the camping area. Notification must be given well in advance if this is necessary.

Please drive slowly and carefully on the site and park in the designated car park. Please take great care when entering & leaving the site and respect the nearby village of Chew Stoke by being courteous and quiet when leaving the venue.

Animals

Dogs and other animals are allowed onsite but please remove all mess and remember they are your responsibility.
